Terms of Use

Version 2026-11-terms. These terms apply to everyone who uses ROS2Lab (www.ros2lab.com). By registering or using the course you agree to them and to the Privacy Notice.

1. About ROS2Lab

ROS2Lab is a free educational project developed by the Robotics and ROS2 lab Channel. It offers an online course in ROS 2 fundamentals, with lessons, practice tools, tests, a personal project and a certificate. Contact: prasadprabhu145@gmail.com.

2. Your account

  • Give true and complete details when you register. The name you give is printed on your certificate.
  • Use one account, for yourself only. Do not share your login or let anyone else take tests or submit work for you.
  • Keep your password safe and tell us at once if you think someone else used your account.
  • If you are under 18, register only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

3. Access period

  • Each approved registration gives exactly 60 days of access, counted from the moment it is approved.
  • If you finish every lesson of Weeks 1 to 6 (the core course) and score at least 60% in each of their tests within that time, your access stays open for life. Weeks 7 to 9 are an optional advanced track.
  • In your first registration you may ask once for extra time, up to 30 days. The administrator decides; extra time is not guaranteed.
  • If the course is not finished in time, the registration is cancelled automatically and the course materials close.
  • You may then ask to register again, afresh, at most two times. Each request needs the administrator's approval, starts the course from the beginning and gives 60 days without extra time. Further requests are refused automatically.

4. Honest work

  • Tests and the project must be your own work. Do not use another person, a website or an AI tool to answer test questions, and do not share questions or answers.
  • Do not try to get around the course rules, timers or security, or interfere with the website.
  • Activity during tests (for example leaving the test page) is recorded and may be reviewed.
  • If we find cheating, we may cancel test results, a project mark, a certificate or the account.

5. Course content

The lessons, animations, games, tests, project briefs and other materials belong to ROS2Lab. You may use them for your own learning. Do not copy, record, publish, sell or share them without written permission. ROS 2 and the code examples taught in the course remain under their own open-source licences.

6. Certificates

  • You may apply for a certificate after finishing every lesson, scoring at least 60% in every test and at least 80% in your personal project. It is issued after the instructor checks and signs it.
  • A certificate records completion of a free online course. It is not a university degree or academic credit.
  • It is valid for 2 years and can be checked online by its ID or QR code. It may be withdrawn if it was obtained by cheating or with false details.

7. The service

We work to keep ROS2Lab available and correct, but the course is provided free and "as is", without any guarantee. We may change, pause or end the course, its content or these terms. When the terms change in an important way, we ask you to accept them again.

8. Liability

As far as the law allows, ROS2Lab and the Robotics and ROS2 lab Channel are not responsible for any loss arising from use of the course, including the practice of commands or code on your own computer or robot. Always follow safe practice with real hardware.

9. Ending your use

You may delete your account at any time from My account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
